Lou's affinity for youngsters is evident in the love he has
for his two children, Lou Jr. (born in, 1964) and Louana (born in 1968). During their summer vacations, Lou's children joined him wherever he was on the road.Success for Lou Rawls was long in coming. It can be directly attributed to his optimistic philosophy that it is possible to persevere against the odds. That belief expresses itself in his life and music, telling people to keep the faith. Today might be bad, but there is always tomorrow if you just don't fall into the slump. "For every singer who is making it, there are at least a hundred waiting in the wings to replace us," he warns himself.
